In early 2022 Steve K set out to make an album that sounded as little like the Grateful Dead as possible. Something totally opposite than their brand of loose grooves and kind stylings. He wrote about 14 songs, and all of them were pretty much diametric to the sound of the Dead. He started recording the songs, and after the first few were completed it was becoming pretty clear that this album wasn’t sounding anything like the Grateful Dead. There was no point recording the rest of the songs. Thus this 5 song EP was born.

With the jangle of Rickenbackers and Jazzmasters balanced by Mellotrons and E-Bows, the guitars lean heavily on the familiar inspiration of Marr, Buck, J.
