When we last heard from Stan Sobczak it was 2013. Since then Stan has been binge watching life through the cellar window. In between pharmacist visits, dehumidifier maintenance and mildew abatement he also found the time to compose a new record; a soundtrack to life inside and outside the basement. Stan Land is an 8 episode loosely scripted series; a sonic television show for the theater in Stan’s mind. Let its almost 80 minutes unfold and envelop you in its glistening cinematic glow. For fans of Brian Eno, Rod Serling & Lunesta.

Bill Paukert and Jeremy Withers of Monument Thief have sloughed off the trappings of shoegaze and psychedelia. Instead, their new release is streamlined and riff-heavy – just drums, vocals and layers after layers of fuzzed out bass. This isn’t that slowed down spaced-out fuzz, neither, it’s amped up garage-ified Sabbath worship.
Bobby Forand – Blame The Kennedys book
75OL-256 Bobby Forand – Blame The Kennedys and Other Gifts… book
$10.00 S&H Included
It’s hard to say no to your mother when the one thing she asks for every Christmas is a personally written story or poem. Based on the knowledge that the Kennedy kids used to write stories or poems for their parents as gifts, author R. Forand’s mother requested the same. Most were hastily thrown together on Christmas Eve, but all have made their way into this collection, along with four other writings penned for other occasions or to just cheer someone up.
The importance of companionship, which comes in many forms, is a major theme throughout these 16 writings, most taking place right around Christmastime.

A bastard child of PJ Harvey and Bob Mould; a darker, sketchier Frank Black with inside your head vocals and cross-hatched riffs; a heavy handed Mark Bolan out on the town drinking by himself… Bill Keough: a long time fixture in the RI music scene as both a promoter and musician, this is the follow up to his 2014 solo release “The Slow Get Up”.

Legendarily saved to a hard drive which was lost in a taxicab abandoned in the desert and rediscovered by hapless archaeologists, Whatever We’re Calling The Next Album is a psychedelic compendium of rockers and wobblers. The only unifying constraint of the affair is the omission of vocals or lyrics, leaving the listener to make up words on their own.
