What began as an RPM (Write and Record an album in the month of February) project, turned into a collaborative effort by Eric Ott, Sean Yadisernia, Lindsay Walls-Ott and a bunch of friends. We’ll list out some of the sound influences and inspirations on this record rather than what it sounds like: Granddaddy, ELO, The Shins, Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac (TUSK-era), etc. This is a strange little record that was a labor of love. We hope you enjoy it.

a bastard child of PJ Harvey and Bob Mould…a darker, sketchier Frank Black…inside your head vocals and cross-hatched riffs…angst riddled, heartfelt, a bed of nails sprinkled with flowers…life related via blindfolded kisses and aimless hugs…burrow down deep to the center of the songs and stay awhile…

After the Pats shit the bed last year Paul and Ray started to write and record some music in Ray’s basement on Tuesday nights. We call ourselves Gladhouse. A largely acoustic affair, goldencloud was pretty much one song per night. We use Lazyboy harps and Terrapin pint glasses exclusively. Our influences include Chuck Yeager and Gunga Din. Come in to eat or we’ll both starve!

The Llamas explore themes of the circus, co-habitation, homelessness, rampant vegetation, the occult, and degeneracy. Lloyd’s Llamas are Kraig Jordan (Masons, Plan of a Boy), Bruce Moravec (Medicine Ball, Porno Sponges), Eric Moberg and Tom Cummins. Mixed by Tom Buckland. Cover Art by Peet Tamburino.
press –
“Synth-laden quasi-country instrumental, pleasantly reminiscent of both the Meat Puppets and Wendy Carlos, snotty power pop with a good-time psychedelic guitar, snazzy (and bluesy) shuffle with elements of prog rock, thrash metal; epic drum and synth confection with a strangely resonant guitar line and cab-mike distorted vocals.” – The Noise Boston Nov 2014

“The session Allysen recorded for us features three of her own songs and one traditional song ‘Blackwaterside‘ which she first heard Anne Briggs performing. The session also marks a new direction for Allysen on which she intertwines her love of psychedelic and trad folk. Her friend Bob Kendall recorded her in his shed one snowy evening. I think you’ll all agree that this session is simply magical, she never disappoints and always leaves you wanting more.” – Alex Gallacher Founder Folk Radio UK

With more than 40 years as a customer of the music industry, Jackson Jillson’s 2014 eponymous CD offers an album that falls alphabetically between Jackson Browne and Jack White. The sound is described as “County” music; an unique brand of country music that appeals within narrower borders. With these 8 songs Jackson Jillson marks his territory with a dogged irascibility that you’ll surely enjoy.
