Want to know what 2 or 3 drunk folks usually endure at a Suicide Bill show? Want to know why the hell Bill won a singer/songwriter award in the Providence Phoenix? “Suicide Comes Alive!” answers all the big questions and raises a few new ones. Eleven new live and semi-alive songs featuring Bill and his guitar with backup shouts and percussion from The Liquors make up their 5th record. Bill’s brand of loud-acoustic/alt. rock has never been stronger than it is here. Three of the songs also feature great guitar and harmony-vocal work from the most elusive member of the Liquors, Ray Pruitt. Once again, Suicide and company make a record that sounds good cranked up in your car while you deliver stuff — probably pizza or newspapers. Have fun on your route.
Jeff the Postman – The Postman Speaks
75OL-163 Jeff the Postman – The Postman Speaks CD
$7.00 S&H Included
Jeff the Postman, ‘The Postman Speaks’ is a collaboration between Prescott Cronin and the poet Jeff the Postman. The words on this recording were written by Jeff the Postman. The entire process from inspiration, conception, practice, to production occurred in 02885, the smallest town, in the smallest county, in the smallest state in the U.S.A. Jeff the Postman offers his eternal thanks to all his neighbors who let him practice his delivery. This project was tracked entirely on an iPhone, using samples and live instruments, at 90 Union, except for “As a Guest,” which was recorded in the elevator at Parker Mills in Warren, RI. ‘The Postman Speaks’ is an epic work that exemplifies what can be done these days with small equipment and conviction. Twenty two tracks.

Each Fall, 75orLess Records and Fusionworks Dance Company hold a fundraiser for the Fusionworks early education dance classes. The “Fusionfest”, as it’s called, is held on the Warren waterfront and a dozen bands, most with 75orLess label ties, play to a few hundred people who enjoy some local food and music for a good cause. We ended up with about a dozen left over pint glasses from the 2012 Fusionfest.

Bass player Mike O’Shea steps up to share the songwriting and lead vocal mantle with guitarist Nate Shaw, both zooming in on the tales of flawed men and the world they inhabit.
