Inspired by Quint’s rendition of ‘Spanish Ladies’ in the film Jaws, Sharks Come Cruisin’ combines traditional songs of sailing, whaling, drinking and sinking with drums, bass, fiddle, banjo, accordion, guitar and lots of hollering. On Four Years Before the Mast, SCC takes amplifies the shanties of New England by mixing their own influences like Flogging Molly, The Pogues, and Against Me.

The Inclined is an electro synth-pop band based in Providence, RI. It’s two members, Bill Paukert (vocals, synths, programming, drums) and Jeremy Withers (bass, guitar, fuzz) have been playing together since 2000. After a number of lineup changes, the pair decided to change their basic indie-rock approach to accommodate their growing electro-pop leanings. Having now embraced the studio as an instrument and compositional tool, they have distilled their love of bass fuzz and synchronized arpeggiation into their first full album, The First Day of Many.

The Spectacular Fantastic is a pop leaning rock band from the outskirts of Cincinnati. The duo, featuring multi-instrumentalists’ Mike Detmer and Jonathan Williams, return with their new EP Consume. Baylies Band come out swinging on “Risibility and Discourse” starting with a nearly 17 minute Krautrock instrumental dipped in Japanese noise rock with a pinch of the Swans.
