From the slow settling dust of PURPLE IVY SHADOWS comes THE ‘MERICANS, a Rhode island band based around the songs of Chris Daltry. Their first record, ‘MERICAN RECORDINGS, was recorded at home, on borrowed recording equipment on the west side of Providence. The sounds of this first record are the foundation of what Daltry’s songs are all about – rootsy folky moody pop songs about another way of seeing things. Includes appearances by Joel Thibodeau of Death Vessel and String Builder, former PURPLE IVY SHADOWS member Will Rice and Margie Wienk on upright bass.
