Time moves forward. The passage of it brings about age. We are born, grow up, and die. People met and places traveled to, no matter how close or far, fill the intervals in between, and influence life on many levels. And so this new volume of poetry was born. These are the dispatches from the fort.

It’s hard to say no to your mother when the one thing she asks for every Christmas is a personally written story or poem. Based on the knowledge that the Kennedy kids used to write stories or poems for their parents as gifts, author R. Forand’s mother requested the same. Jeff Danielian is the Director of the La Salle Scholars Program in Providence, Rhode Island. He received his Masters degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Connecticut and currently holds the position of Teacher Resource Specialist for The National Association for Gifted Children, working from his Rhode Island home base on many exciting projects, including being editor-in-chief of Teaching for High Potential, co-authoring the bi-monthly column Connecting for High Potential and writing the monthly column The Teacher’s Corner.
Jeff has presented at local, national, and international conferences on many topics including the affective needs of gifted and talented students, creativity and eminence, and the school/home connection.
